Extra-professional and other unproductive activities, also known as hobbies

• Passive interest in music. Preference: baroque and classicism, but jazz is OK too.
  
  
• Somewhat more active interest in music. Playing keyboard instruments: principally the piano.

  However, increasingly the effort goes into organ:
  The instrument is a 1726 organ by Gottfried Silbermann in Dittersbach, Saxony.
  
  And occasionally, whenever opportunity arises, my favorite keyboard instrument, the harpsichord:

• History: ancient, medieval and more recent. Of particular interest: periods of great civilizations declines , such as the Greek dark ages, hellenism or the decline and fall of Rome and the ensuing medieval dark ages.
  
  
• Travels: A collection of pictures dating back to 2003 (my first digital camera).
  
  
• Tennis. Current USTA rating: 3.5.
